Microstudio Crashing-Running Sonverter from Microstudio??

My Microstudio is crashing.

I import the tracks from a disc to a folder. I immediately click songverter (from Microstudio) to convert from Bin to WAV. +G. When Songverter is finished, then I click off songverter so that I can import another disc. It varies, but after two or three "reps" of this process, Microstudio will crash during the importing process, without importing a single track. I turn off the microstudio program, and turn it back on. I have to change the target folder, and it works again for another two or three reps.

My workaround is to turn off Microstudio and back on again after each rep.

I confess I DO have Roxio and Nero on this machine.
I have made all Windows updates
This machine runs xp home version

I have never before tried the ability to click songverter feature that Microstudio has. Except for this minor inconvenience, I really like it. The folders are named close to what I need, and that is a big time saver.
