You will need to give us a little more information. What folder are you importing the songs too? Is this a Windows XP machine? How are you importing?

I was down loading from purchased disc through hoster on an xp machine to an external harddrive. I had 2500 songs down loaded the first time and 1500 songs loaded the second time. When I went to look at the files they had all disappeared. I have loaded over 5000 songs to my hard drive on the laptop since. I plan on copying these to the external hard drive to have a back up. I just do not know what happened to the songs the first two times. I did not delete them.

What version of Hoster are you using. There where problems with versions 3.18 & 3.19. This is in the Hoster Help Page
Announcement: DO NOT continue running Video Hoster 3.318 or 3.319 February 28th, 2008 admin (Administrator) If the problem was because you carried on with the above versions there is a free upgrade to 3.21. Check the save to box in the import screen. This should tell you where you saved them then follow that directory on your hard drive and see if it's there. If it is there but empty then it is probably due to the above problem. If it is not empty then go to rebuild data base and make sure the same directory is listed there and rebuild data base. One more thing if you import a lot of songs back up your kma folder. Hope this helps.

I just bought it October 24th and I think it is 4.? Since I am at work I am not sure. It may be just a dumb mistake since I am not real good at computer stuff.

Have you tried searching for them with the windows search tool.
If not go to start - search, at the window that comes up high light search all files & folders (not music). Then wear it says all or part name enter .kma then wear it says look in enter the drives on your computer. if you did not have an external hard drive fitted when you imported your files just enter c: Then press search. It should find the folder they are saved to. Then take a note of this then go to rebuild data base and direct it to this folder. Hope this helps |
