Exclamation XP reboot when Microstudio is clicked

I just installed microstudio 2.4 and whenever I click on the icon to start the program, my system immediately restarts. This is not a graceful shutdown the system goes to an immediate startup state. I'm running XP Home with a Plexstore 16. I have used microstudio before on this same machine using 2.314 and WinMe. Also I just received 2.4 only to find out that 2.5 is out. What gives?

Question XP Reboot problem

I totally removed my previous version of Microstudio and reinstalled the product from scratch. This solved the reboot issue. My new problem is that when I try to play a CDG from the original or hard drive, the title screen displays; however, the words to the song never displays. Also the music is slow and hesitant like there is a buffer problem. I tried using both screen modes and both aspi drivers. Any suggestions???

Try reducing the hardware accelleration as posted here.

Hope this helps.
