Current Computer Purchase Options

From my research I have found the following Operating System options for the major brands:

Dell - Windows 7, 64 bit - optional XP, Vista, or Windows 7, 32 bit or 64 bit.

Toshiba - Windows 7, 32 bit - optional all versions 32 or 64 bit

HP - Windows 7, 64 bit only - the only option they give you is Home and Professional versions 64 bit.

Gateway - Windows 7, 64 bit - Home or Professional but these are model specific.

MTU Microstudio verion 4.23 WORKS with 64-bit operating systems.

MTU Hoster, Vogone, Keyrite and KHPro will work with 64-bit operating systems. NOTE: KHPro (prior to Version 5.00) exhibited color change problems.

All research was in the business section for each manufacturer. The Home market for each does not offer any customizing.

For XP you need 2 GB memory. For Vista and Windows 7 you need 4 GB. I also would recommend getting the largest hard drive you can especially for laptops.
