louis vello.......click on this link..

http://forum.mtu.com/showthread.php?threadid=1161

99% of the problem lies with the aspi layer......follow the link to the MicroStudio Aspi Drivers.....download and install......see if that solves your problem...

Also....suggest you run you System File Checker....this will prompt you to re-install any drivers or files that may be missing or got corupted.

MICR-STDIO 2.400

WELL I THOUGH THE PROBLEM WAS SOLVED AS I RECORDED A KARAOKE DISK AND IT WAS FINE. TODAY I PUT SONGS ON THE HARD DRIVE AND THEN ATTEMPTED TO RECORD THEM. RECORDED UP TO THE THIRD SONG AND SAME ERROR POPPED UP. DID WHAT YOU SUGGESTED IN YOUR LAST REPLY TO MY THREAD THAT DID NOT SOLVE IT. WHERE DO I GO FROM HERE.

louis vello......

1. Check This...open MicroStudio, At the Top you will see Drives, open Drives, Select ASPI, make sure MTU ASPI Drivers are Checked.

2. If #1 above is OK....sounds like your CD-R recording Media, All Media is not created equal.

3. What brand are you using?

4. What is your write speed ?

5. Best Media is MTU's Silver, followed by TDK, Sony and Fuji.

6. All other brands....use at your own risk.

Thumbs down MICRO-STUDIO

I CHECK THE ASPI AND THE ARE MTU. I USE TDK 24X AND HAVE JUST BOUGHT 48X, HOWEVER HAVEN'T TRIED THEM YET. I RECORD AT 8X AND RECORD AT 6X. I JUST RECORDED WITH A CDRW DISK AND IT RCORDED FINE I THEN TRIED WITH ANOTHER TDK 24X AT TE SAME SPEED AS I MENTIONE AND RECIEVED THE SAME ERROR MESSAGE BAD MEDIA DETECTED. I HAVE THE SAME SETUP AT MY OCEAN RESIDENCE AND THE VERY SAME SETUP AND IT RECODS FINE

louis vello......

1. Try writing at 6x or 4x or 2x.

2. If this doesn't work.....try another brand of CD-R's.
