Unhappy Vogone High filter

Hi I looked through the forums posted on this website but could not find any help with my problem. I recently purchased Vogone 2 and I am not impressed with its performance. I do not find it any better than other vocal removers available including Dart. When trying to fine tune the vogone result, I can only hear a difference in it when moving the low filter slider. As I move the slider to the left it does cancel more of the voice but no matter which way I slide the high the result sounds the same. I have tried several songs with the high to the extreme right and the same songs with the high to the extreme left and there is absolutely no audible difference in the result. I can however hear a difference when I playback just the high and move the slider but not when I playback the vogone result. It seems the high processor is not working together with the low processor for the final result. I am running the software on a AMD 800MHz with 192Mb RAM. Can anyone help me with this problem?

Hey thanks for the reply but I followed the instructions on that thread exactly but still cannot hear any difference whatsoever when I move the high slider while playing the vogone result.

No problem.......

Just means nothing recorded in the high range can be taken out.
Human voice is recorded mostly in 1-2 K range.

I've tried all different types of songs and it has no effect on none of them. Why is it there if it has no effect on the output result?

Audio speakers, amp, etc.

Vogone's Hi Adjust filter does modify the high frequencies if they are present. If Vogone runs at all, it is working and all parts are working... otherwise it would crash.

If you have tried various discs with female voice for the singer, then the only other variable I can think of is your speakers are not reproducing the high frequencies.

Can you play a CD through Media Player and hear higher frequencies than you hear from Vogone while playing using the High Play button? If not, your speakers and amp may be reducing the bandwidth you can hear. This is a normal problem we run into and may be the reason.

I've tried both male and female singers from CD. I've devocalized the same songs with Dart Devocalizer and with Vogone and burned the resulting Bin files to a CD. I've played the CD in various stereo systems and cannot hear any difference between the Vogone and Dart results. Because Vogone offers the high filter and Dart doesn't, I would expect Vogone to be better, but was not.

What version are you running?

What version are you running so we know.

Because of your post, I went back and did some testing in our current under-development version. It turns out the high adjuster was disabled and not affecting the processing! This was a result of our engineer doing some testing, and he forgot to re-enabled it.

However, I have not verified if it was disabled in the current ship version or not. The next upgrade will be free to all and should be out this month.

I uninstalled 2.200 and installed 2.104. The high filter is working in mine.
