Exclamation 10 hours to image?

your computer is not too old to accept a usb 2.0 pci card (providing you have the slot space). using usb 1.0 should still not amount to the time taken to fully "ghost" your kit. (10 hours).

make sure that you are not on the net, temp disable anti virus, and most importantly, close all other apps that might be running as this uses system and processor speed, hence slowing things down.

hope this helps

al.

I dont know,
when i tried to copy my karaoke songs folder 174 gigabyte in my laptop through usb 1.0.
it copyed for about 3 hrs and was only 1/4th done.
so i canceled and put in my usb 2.0 pcmcia card and in two hrs it was done..
thats a lot faster. Bob

Usb 1.0 1.5 MBs vs 2.0 at 60MBs. Yes it could take over 10 hours with 1.0. I added a pci usb 2.0 card to my 7 year old Dell and it works great. As long as you have a slot available it should be fine and they are only about 10 bucks.

Thanx for that info. I got one of those machines up against the wall witth all kinds of wires coming out and always hate to move it and take a look back there, guess I will now though.
