Still could be that it is also a memory hog and you already know that it locks down drive locations. Maybe some of the guys who use DJ programs with Hoster can point out one that will work.

I have Mixmeister 6 and after getting used to it I like it however opening mixmeister while Hoster is open always crashes Hoster. Not sure if it's a lack of resources or a conflict between the two. Since I use it on my backup computer I've never investigated why they won't work together. This is on my backup computer it very well may work differently on yours.

Virtual DJ works as long as you don't use videos or visuals or slideshows. But the video card still needs to be a top-of-the-line one for some reason.

If you have an integrated [video/graphic] card or less than 256 mB ram video card, VDJ alone has problems.

I think that may be a normal problem. Video is a constant change picture which takesa lot of memory where the graphics used in CDG has very little area that has to change (the letters) so requires much less memory.
Sam may have the right idea of using a separate computer for the DJ part and using a mixer to fade in and out from one computer to the other.

It sounds like you may have made a change to remove all references to G: drive. These would have been in the Tools menu "Build Songs Database" command window, and as George pointed out, in the "Import Hard Drive Files" screen still defaulting to import to G: drive folders.

Try posting a question in the Singers and Hosts Wisdom Forum about what DJ programs run with Hoster on the same computer. I know we have many users running both on the same computer without the problems you are describing.

SEVERAL QUESTIONS WE NEED TO KNOW ARE...

1, How much RAM is in your computer?

2. What processor type and speed do you have in your computer? (Click Start > Settings > Control panel > System to see this).

3. What Windows OS, and have you followed these instructions to the letter?

Hey... we all want you to have that new Guitar!
