Do you think that your Plextor may have gone bad?
There is another thread, dated March 1, 2005, http://forum.mtu.com/showthread.php?...hlight=plextor that talks about a Plextor 708A going bad. I realize that this is not the same drive that you have but the 708A has DVD capabilities like your drive. Sometimes I think that these DVD capable drives are too sensitive as compared to non-DVD CD Drives. Just a thought, Norm |

No, you will not lose them.
Upon every release of a new version of Hoster, it is recommended that you choose "REMOVE" first, then, upon clicking the Hoster executable file again, Hoster will perform an Install. So, this is a normal course of events...Removing and Installing...that all Hoster users have been experiencing. If you are uncomfortable with doing a complete uninstall, you could try to use the "Upgrade" and see if that fixes the problem. And, if not, then do the Uninstall and Reinstall. Norm |

Check this out. This won't help but I have a Dk Stairway to heaven that show 8:32 when it starts on the counter the hit play it goes to 1:32 on the counter. It plays perfect just the counters off. When it hits 0 it goes to 7:02 just plain weird huh. I asked my buddy who has hoster and a DK set to check his out. It did the same thing. Strange huh. Anyone with stairway to heaven on dk with hoster doin this.

Okay...the Graphics Play All The Way Thru The Song....there Is No Audio Though...when The Song Imports,it's Only Importing The Graphic Sub-channel,not The Audio Channel..it Worked Fine For The First 2000 Songs...but The Last 300 Have Been All Graphics,no Music

It's Not Registered To Me,i'm The Kj..they Built This System For Me To Use. I Didn't Install Any Of The Software Or Hardware. ALL I DO IS IMPORT THE CD+G'S INTO IT AND RUN THE SOUND.

Try and Import 1 song that was correct on the first pass. This will tell us if something has changed. Right now we are guessing at what the problem is. Re-Importing a song will show that it is not a disk problem for sure if the song imports incorrect. That will be 1 possible issue elimated.
When I started Importing songs the CDG Drive failed after 10 or so disks. I had to buy a new replacement and send the first for repair. Call Pextor Support and see if they have heard of this issue before. They may have and then the issue will be how soon you can get another drive. |

Okay I Did What You Suggested And It Just Screwed Up The Last Good Ones I Had Imported,IT TURNED A GOOD KMA INTO A NO AUDIO JUST GRAPHICS KMA

That means that the CDG's you have are most likely good.
I do not believe that this issue is software. It is most likely hardware and the Plextor Drive. There Help site is: http://www.plextor.com/english/suppo...lexhelper.html Their Phone number is: 1.510.440.2000 I would Place a call to them and see what they had to say. It may save you some time. |

Well, I still wouldn't rule out a bad Plextor.
What version of Hoster are you running? If it is v3.006, do a search on your Hard Drive for hoster3006setup.exe If it is on your Hard Drive, you will be able to click this file and do an UPGRADE without being connected to the Internet. If you go through a complete Uninstall and Re-install, you will need to be connected to the Internet and, possibly, have all the Original purchase information that will include the Purchaser Name and Email. If you don't have this File or Info, get it from your Computer supplier and tell them. I would have a copy of the EXE file on your Hard Drive at all times. If it is not a bad Plextor, then, it will be essential to re-install the Hoster program in order to eliminate the software as a problem source. Norm |

okay i just got done with the plextor people..my drive,reads and plays cdg's,burns cdgs,but now when i goto hoster and click read tracks to import,it won't read tracks now...but when i use microstudio it reads them fine, i have hoster version 30006
