Re: importing gem files

Then you may want to wait until after your show to try re-installing again.
As far as your existing KMAs they are still there and your songs database is still there so you can use those in Hoster just like you always have been.
I'll wait until after your show to post what you will need to do next time you re-install. It is going to take a bit more work to do that.

Just to clarify I am attaching a picture of the Import from Hard Drive screen so you can see what you should be seeing. If this isn't what you are seeing then we will have to try the re-install again.

Re: importing gem files

I dont believe I ever reinstalled installed correctly. I just removed the program from my control panel then restored my computer back to its original seeting. I still have my original discs so i can go old school for a couple days if need be. I REALLY need to get this dialed in

Re: importing gem files

The way you did it didn't change anything. You should still be able to use your existing KMA files for your show without having to do anything more.

Do you have the Hoster3321setup.exe file saved somewhere on your computer? You will need this to re-install correctly.

Did you look at the picture I included? Is this what you are seeing when you go to the Import from Harddrive?

Re: importing gem files

The setup has not been located. I did not see that screen. I have never imported MP3G before only CDG. Should I move the file from my C drive to somewhere else? sorry for the late reply I was in church praying

I am not sure what file you are talking about moving.
If you do not have a saved copy of the setup file then you may be in trouble. Version 3.321 is no longer available from MTU. This is why you should always Save instead of Run the setup file from MTU, so that if you need to go back and reload then you can.

Re: importing gem files

I doesn't really make any difference where the folder with the Gem series is located. If you had the screen for the Import from hard drive then you would be able to browse to where the files are located.

Re: importing gem files

It is an embedded part of the Hoster.exe, so no without re-installing apparently you cannot get to it.

Re: importing gem files

Try and find your original installation file, depending on which version of Windows you have, for XP try this. from windows "Start" button look for the search icon and click on it and then select "All files and folders" then in the box that reads "All files and folders" Type "Hoster3" then hit the search button.
If you are using Windows 7, just enter it in the search window at the bottom and press enter.

If these files are on your computer this should find them, if it finds more than one then double click on the one that Hoster321setup.exe
This will start the installation process.
