Cool Re: Hoster Stopped Working

same thing here. It never does it in the middle of a song, only at the end and when left unattended. If I would skip each song before completed it would not crash. Well atleast not yet.

Re: Hoster Stopped Working

Susan and Aarrgee I have a couple questions for both of you.
  1. Is Hoster just locking up at the end of the song or is it shutting down as in the program closing with or without an error message?
  2. How long have you been using these particular Laptops?
  3. Which version of Windows 7 are you using?
  4. I know Susan upgraded to Windows 7. Aarrgee was yours also an upgrade?

Cool Re: Hoster Stopped Working

Hoster would stop working after a song has been played. Especially when left unattended. Pop up would say "Hoster has stopped working" Happened about 3 times last night during a show.
I have been using my show laptop for years now, but upgraded to windows 7.
I must say that it was working perfectly in Vista.

I can't help but think that Windows 7 is shutting down the program because it is idle for a short period of time. Not being an expert on Windows 7 I can't say for sure.
I would suggest if you haven't been doing this, to take the laptop in for a good internal cleaning. Since laptops are such a tight enclosure it doesn't take a whole lot of dust to start making them run hotter. When they do then the first thing you start seeing is program errors.

Re: Hoster Stopped Working

I have had this laptop for almost two years. The windows 7 version is 32bit.
When it does it it shuts down the program, I have to start it again. I don't lose any songs that I have on the list, it just shuts down.

Re: Hoster Stopped Working

Try un-installing and re-installing Windows Media Player. Then don't open it.

Re: Hoster Stopped Working

I suggest you both go and get Hoster 4.20 from the download links (Support nav link at the page top).
