I've rad through all the posts concerning the syncing issue and they juwt having figured it out yet. Many different platforms being used and many have this issue. I run all my files from an external 500G harddrvie, so its not a memory or resource thing. Hopefully, they'll get it fixed in the next upgrade. Personally, I'm looking forward to the update that allows you to speed up or slow down the play. The pitch changer is a hoot.

Meanwhile, try minimizing it when you are not using it.

I was directing my question to Rontoo as noted by the quote. His are not brand or type specific. I myself do have several Music Maestro and they all work fine and in sync. Don't believe I have any Pioneer.

I have played several Pioneer as well as Music Maestro & they are working for me, even if I open & close the Singer's Database window repeated with the Search window still open.

This problem is definately not brand specific. It seems related directly to the singers db. I do have a couple of singers in there very with long song lists and the list does take a long time to refresh. I have stoped using 4.06 completely and have been using 34 exclusively. The new features are nice but they aren't worth it when they ruin the show. Minimizing the singers db helps but you can't use it while it is minimized. I think I will try to get 4.05 to run again as it didn't seem to have this problem. Fancy features are only good if they work properly.

Since remove .net Framework 2 didn't help I would suggest you install it back on as well as version 3. It may not be effecting any of it now but may in the future if you don't have them installed.
The way my wife works it is to keep the singer's database and the search window open during the show. When she isn't using them she slides them down until just the top bar is showing on the screen. Then when she needs them she pulls them up in view. The next release is currently being tested, but it won't be ready until early next year. There are still a lot of functions being changed, fixed or added that have yet to be tested. If you kept a copy of the 4.05 setup then you should be able to remove 4.06 and install it without any problems.

Thanks, I will try that. You are lucky. My wife is the singer and KJ in our house also but she is not pc svvy and is scared to run a show by herself if it isn't working flawlwssly. That's why I have her using 34 for now.

Eveb though mine runs the show and sings, I have to be there in case something goes wrong and usually at least once a night it does. Its not always Hoster but usually something in the system will quit or she hits the wrong thing on the mixer.

Hey guys, I have to put in my 2cents. You can tell your wives for me that they are very lucky indeed. My husband used to be my Roadie and was in Avionics when in VietNam, so he took care of all the electronics too. However, a few years ago he had a stroke & now I do it ALL - sing, KJ, carry my own equipment & FIX everything too, including his laptop at home, TV, etc. Thank God he did a good job of teaching me and I paid attention. ![]() P.S. And thanks to this Forum, I have some place to turn to when I get in trouble. No one else to call....when things don't work right. ![]()

Thanks for the .02. You must be a trooper. I designed our system with simplicity, easy use and quick setup in mind to make it as easy as possible and she is still reluctant to trust herself with it on her own. Maybe someday! |

Undocking Problem
Just to throw another weird occurence out here...anybody else having trouble with moving & resizing the small display after "undocking"? Mine locks in the upper left corner of my laptop display & it won't move. This is a minor inconvenience, but thought I'd bring it up.

Resizing Mini Display
Just wanted to let everybody know that the recommendation about resetting both displays, undocking the mini-display, resizing & locating it on, say the laptop screen, THEN shooting the main display off to 2nd monitor (if you will) worked like a champ. Kudos to Billy O!!
