Hey James,

Does it sound like you are clicking a link on a web page in Internet Explorer?

Static noise on audio and video

I just purchased hoster 4.0 and installed it to my desktop computer with XP home edition. First, I selected my kma files on the playlist I used on hoster 3.321, when I Play the song it started with a static noise on video and audio (video screen flicker with static audio for couple of secs.) and notice that video/lyric lags the audio, the timing was really off. I play around with the same song couple of times, this time I play the same song and hit the "pause" button and let it pause for couple of seconds or until the video screen stop flickering and video start to stabilize and hit "resume" button it seems to synchronize with the audio. But when I just "pause" for longer period, the video/lyric still going without the audio. Weird.

THis goes the same with mp3+g files.

On the Video files, I used mpg (I ripped all my vcd in mpg file format) and play it using video tab, it play good except I could not cancel the vocal because the mux buttons(stereo, no vocal button) was greyed out on this mode.

Just to let you know, all the files I used have no problem playing on hoster 3.4or 3.316.

also notice, the L and R audio channel was missing, I was hoping this "no vocal" button would work the same as to cancel vocal on R when hit once and you hit again will cancel the vocal on L.

Hoster 4.0 have same good new functions but I haven't get the chance to try it. The scrolling message were great except I could not turn it off or control it on and off. When press the show button it just put the message on the beginning. I hope there is a way to turn this on and off. Same for the Singer window. While the song is playing.

I have Window Xp Home edition with IE7 and WMP11 and all custom updates and still experiencing a lot of problem on hoster 4.0 but everything works fine on 3.4 and this tells me that all my files were good. I purchased hoster 4.0 quad. I could use the hoster 3.4 but I want to try the instant button for my effects because I'd been using winamp for all my sound effects. And the volume slide were great idea also.

I just wait for the next release upgrade before I try again 4.0

I am not sure about the static or popping you have as none of the beta testers ever had any problems with that. Try setting the music level (slide) a little lower and see if that helps. It sounds like your audio card is activating only when audio is detected instead of being on all the time and waiting for input. What audio card do you have in your computer?
As far as your other questions yes the marquee can be turned on and off (hidden). Read through the manual on Menu-Tools and it gives a very good explaination of how to set-up your various screens.

The static noise happen at the beggining of every songs, as you hit the play button the beggining is always unstable, screen begin to flicker and created static noise noise on audio, this happen in the beginning of every song as the video and audio is trying to stabilize. This does not happen on previous version.

I could only Hide the Marquee message/ scrolling message after each song played because show display dialog is greyed out when a song is playing. The Show button would not do anything except start the scrolling message at the beggining of the screen. It will be nice feature if I hit the show button the first time and the scrolling will start and hit in again the message goes off, just like the send button on previous version (hit it once in will show the singer window and hit again it will hide it)

Perhap I got a bad Download because I don't have static noise when I played the song on 3.4

I play around with the insant buttons and this feature was great, it's just I could not use 4.0 yet on this computer (back-up) my main computers still has hoster 3.321 and working well

I will install hoster 4.0 on another computer and see what happen?
