Unable to Write CD Using MicroStudio w/LITEON

Have imported songs to my computer successfully as they do play successfully when MicroStudio play option is used--graphics appear just fine.

When attempting to use "WriteCD" option I get error message:

"Error: Destination device not ready".

Devices in on, w/usb cable to computer in tact. I've installed Nero8 Essentials software. I downloaded and installed MicroStudio software when I purchased external CD recorder. Is there anything additional included on CDG Karaoke CD I received with recorder or is it just a bakup for downloaded software?

Go to Start/Programs/Startup and right click on Nero shortcut in there. Delete it. It is not necessary for Nero to work and it also will lock-up in CD Drive for exclusive use of write function.

Thanks again, DDouglass!!! Did as you suggested. Deleted shortcut access from "Start" prompt, even used "RegCure" software to delete Nero"filter entry" from startup procedure. No change at all.

Still getting message:

Did you reboot after clearing out Nero? If not do so as the changes won't be effective until you do.
Check and make sure the drive is in the Tools/Default Drives and has the correct drive letter. If you plugged in the drive after turning on the computer it may have changed drive letters in which case MS won't recognize it.

Thanks DDouglass! Yes I did re-boot, twice. And I did have computer on when I connected the CD recorder (bummer). I am not sure of how to check for proper drive specification. What is the path?

You are absolutley right. My drive specifications are all screwed up.

Try going to Control Panel, click on System, go to Hardware tab, then click on Device Manager.
Find the drive and uninstall it.
Then reboot.
If this doesn't fix it then you may have a bad cable or drive controller (inside drive and not replaceable).
