Can I use songs I have in hoster with microstudio to create my own personal compilation disks?

Absolutely! You can take any of your KMA files and burn them to a disc in any order you wish. Do you have a copy of Microstudio?

No problem. First open Microstudio. In the "Karaoke" section, the "Files" button should be selected (It will be green). If not slecet the "Files" button in the "Karaoke" section of the program. In the "My Songs" section of the program you will see a browse button. Click on "Browse" and select the folder where you keep your KMA files (your Hoster songs). When you do this the program will take a minute or so to load all of your KMA files into Microstudio.
Find the songs you want to burn to a disc and move them to the playlist on the right. Once you have all of your songs in the playlist in the order you want them in, hit the "Add to Write List" button. Now click on "Write Disc" and you're ready to go. In the demo it will only record part of the song. I hope this gets you going. Jim

you have to re-import them on microstudio and add the songs you wanted on a playlist , then burn it to a cd ..but just like Jim said w/o the full version of microstudio, you can only play a portion of the songs using the demo..

Open Microstudio and Browse to the folder listed in Hoster. Depending on how many songs you have it may take a few minutes for it to list them all. From that list choose which songs you want to write to a CD and add them to the playlist to the right. In the playlist click on the first song in the list, hold down the shift key and click on the last song, then click on the Add to Write List button. Then open the Write Disc screen and you will see the list there. Keep in mind that a CD will only hold 80 minutes worth of music so don't try to add too many songs.

That tells me that you have your KMA files in different folders.
Use Windows Search (Start > Search > All files and folders) and type in "*.kma". This will tell you where every KMA file is located. Once you identify the folders your KMA files are in you can: A. Find the folder that has the files you want to copy in it, use the browse button in Microstudio and select this folder or B. Put all of your KMA in one folder, go to Hoster > Tools > Songs Database > Rebuild, and rebuild your database. Be sure to select the folder you put all of your KMA files in and delete the other folders. This is how I do it. I hope this gets you one step closer. Jim

Then you have another folder that has song files in it. Repeat what I told you and write down all the folder paths.

Does the demo limit the amount? Maybe thats why only 50 came up. I don't know as I have the full program and never tried the demo.

Have you tried to burn a disc using the some of the 50 KMA files that came up? Being you are using the demo they won't be complete songs anyway so give it a try and see if your burner works. Jim

Actually, after i made the comment about it only finding 50 songs, i noticed on the pop up that it does say it will only hold 50. But thank you all for your help. I guess the next step is to buy the complete microstudio. Thanks again!!
