Mowesy, try downloading the demo Microstudio 3.215 and see if it makes any difference. Support seemed rather specific when they answered your post.

take care,

George

Mowesy, glad it worked with the 3.215 demo.I'm posting here instead of private message so's the others above will know as they had questions regarding the same burner.

To upgrade to Microstudio, I believe you go to the main MTU website, click on Karaoke Products, then click in Microstudio Software, Then on the upgrade tab. That should take you into the
store.

Take care,

George

Mowesy,
You will need to have Microstudio Version 2.315 to support this drive. You can purchase the upgrade from www.mtu.com for $15.

Hepster,
Here is the location of the ASPI drivers that are needed

Download this file: http://www.mtu.com/upgrades/microstu...idrivers16.exe

You will need your Microstudio Email and serial number to install this program.

Then go into Microstudio, click on the Drives menu at the top. Click on ASPI drivers. Make sure this is set to USE the MTU Installed Driver. Then close Microstudio and Reopen it. This will then fix your problem.

Terry, just installed two Plextor 40/12/40's over the weekend, one on my XP system and one on my 98SE system, using the old Plextor 16/10/40 and 8/4/32 as read drives. Both work great, and will write high speed CDRW's at 12X.
