Hey James,
4.03 works better than 4.04 for you but for others, 4.04 runs better than 4.03. They both work great for me. Now that MTU has a handle on getting video to run in vista, they will leave their tried a ture code alone and work on adding new features. Like Sky said, 4.05 will be releaded for testing very very soon (maybe tonight).

Positive Forward Motion is a wonderful thing!

Whats the big deal about making 4.03 avalible for those who it works fine for. I now have 4.04 and it's doing me no good at the moment. Because I have to revert back to 3. whatever.

I should have known to save 4.3 .

How much does MTU BenchMark this new updated software before it's released? I love Hoster: I Think that Mtu had done a great job with all of their programs but somethin must bee done

Shadow,
I uploaded a copy of Hoster 4.03 to my web site so folks in your position can get a copy until 4.05 is released and stable. Please save it to a folder on your hard drive and burn a copy to a disc.

I feel you here. After using Hoster at my shows for at least two weeks before 4.0 was released, I can tell you that there is no way I would want to run a show with 3.anything. My singers would kill me if I "lost" their song lists in the Singer Databse and the estimated time they sing is way to cool. Now folks just walk up, look at the computer monitor and walk away knowing what time they have to be in the room. I would never want to be without this feature, it's become a tool I count on, no pun intended. Now my singers don't have to ask me a thing, they just look.

I'm glad I was in a postion to get you a copy of 4.03.

Jim

Hey Rob,
You can't just "become" a beta tester like some companies. All of us were hand picked by Admin, the company president. The best thing anybody can do to increase their chances of being asked to be a beta tester (if another tester is needed ) is be a positive, active member of this forum/community. Give good advise and give full, accurate descriptions and reports.

This is not a true statement. MTU cutomers have ever been given a beta program to test, just won't happen.

Jim,
I think your missing his point. His comment, I beleive, was tongue-in-cheek.

Hey Jim - you are directing your statements at the wrong person. You will see above that "TheMusicGeek" is the one who said something. The rest of us are just trying to be understanding of how he feels. I think most of us already understand what you are saying. You don't need to defend Beta testers to me. I applaud you all for taking the time & having the patience!

Actually Sky I am taking this opportunity to share my understanding of how MTU works with everybody. Some folks may not realize just how small MTU is and the benifits we users get form this fact.

Thanks for engaging in this conversation. You are helping me get my point across and I can't thank you enough. This is why participation is needed.

Jim
