4 shows running each weekend, I do Friday and Saturday. My other shows are hosted by my employees. I do have Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays going on but I just stay at home and be the support team just in case. Plenty of activity for a geezer that's retired.

6 shows per week Monday thru Saturday with LIGHTS - 5 Venues - Just ME...no employees.

That's 24 per month...assuming, as you pointed out, 4 weeks per month.

Pretty cool, GD, how much can you grab for cash per show where you live?

Where do you live?

Yes, but months are actually considered to be 4.33 weeks long.

I know this from having two jobs, one was paid biweekly, and the other semi-monthly; Big Difference in pay.

Also when figuring rent weekly or monthly you gotta be mindful of that too.

Look, your very 1st POST states:

Quote:
How many gigs a month are you performing at this time?

Keeping in mind that not all gigs are weekly, some gigs are random calls, some average one a month at certain places, and some are twice a month.

And assuming precisely 4 weeks in a month, how many Karaoke gigs do you host in one months time.
So, based on your asumption, 6 times 4 can't equal more than 24.

I'm glad to see that some of you can make this go, without impacting on your regular job. Hoorah....

Not sure how to take that. This is my business, I make more at it than I did at my daytime desk job. Since I turned it into full time work, I couldn't do my desk job anymore. If it was just a part time job to supplement, yes i'd agree & I did that for years. Now it's a full time business.

I see. That's exactly why I kept my day job. I make a little less at it, but it supplies the insurance(life and all medical and dental, free), a pension, increases my retired income as well as I pay into a separate system other than Social Security, medical benefits, and a small salary I get to add to my karaoke one. Also pays any education I wish to persue.

What do you do for work, CapnVic.
