I use 10 verdana. I've found that if the bar is dark, the bar is dark and using a larger font isn't goint to change that. The only people I've ever had say they couldn't read the books are the ones who A) assumed they couldn't so didn't try, or B) were to lazy to bother in the first place and will tell me as much. I do tell them that I'll look it up for them but they need to at least put their name and song title on a slip or I'll forget (not true, but hey if I have to do all the work I might as well sing it for them as well).
I also have the long titles set to shrink to fit so a few of those could be 7 or 8 pt. Sam |

Font size
I've always maxed out font size for people to read easily. Seems like in a lot of places lighting is turned down too low (I know, we're all prettier then, but it can be terribly impractical..) I did make a major find before Christmas - at the local Goodwill there was a whole bin full of new reading glasses for 25 cents a pair. I bought a whole bucket of 'em, take them with me, if someone needs readers for looking at the book, they use those...if they forget to return them I don't care...cost of doing business. I went to a show recently where the book had artist and song title in the same book but the font was probably 8 - far too small to read. My eyes are just too old and my arms aren't long enough!

There is a group of lawyers going around my town suing places for lighting issues. We call them ambiance chasers.

OUCH>>>>>>> Pretty funny. Is now the right time to say, "I see the light?" (couldn't resist)

9.5 to 10 - Times New Roman or Arial font seems easiest to read at that size. Oh, I also 'bold' the title in the title section, and 'bold' the artist name in the artist section of the book.

10 pt
Quote:
I have the Artists in the front and the Titles in the back. 10 books spiral bound and 10 update books in a 3/4 in binder.
