ver. 4.002 with M-Audio Card --problems
Anyone using the latest Microstudio and/or KHPro version with a M-Audio Delta 1010LT card? Since upgrading I cannot get Microstudio to run without the following error:
"mixergetlinecontrols: Invalid parameter passed" This occurs when moving a song over to the playlist and clicking on the play button. Support tells me it is indeed a problem with the sound card and to download the most recent driver for it. I've done that but there has been no change. Maybe there is a unique way of configuring the Card to allow it to work with these latest upgrades. I also have not been able to get the upgraded KhPro (ver. 4.107) to run without crashing either. Both earlier version programs did run with the M-audio card. |

May need to look in the audio controls and see if there is a way to bypass or disable their mixer. You may need to talk to their Support and see if there is a way to do this.
The only other thought is maybe you need to check Microsoft Updates (Custom) and see if there are any you are missing. It has been as simple as updating to the latest Media Player to correct audio problems.

need more detail from MTU
I have the latest Media Player (ver 9) available for W2000, and I've loaded all the latest updates from Microsoft. The sound card works fine with both Vogone (ver 3.106) and Keyrite (ver 2.0.1.2) but the two latest versions of Khpro and Microstudio is where the problem is (versions 4.107 and 4.002). I guess I'll submit another support ticket to MTU asking for more detail on the error "MixerGetLineControls:Invalid Parameter passed" for clarification, and then contact M-Audio to see if they have any idea what is going on.
I've tried all combinations in the M-Audio panel to try and disable the mixer portion, but to no avail. Thanks for your ideas and tips. I appreciate any comments to get me back up and going. Best regards |

Since no one else has reported this particular error it is going to be extremely difficult for MTU to offer any guidance, but you can try. I hate to say it, but it may be time to invest in an upgrade.....computer that is or at least an OS upgrade though I doubt Vista would work and XP is getting harder to find.

Still down -- no easy solution coming to light
It appears I will have to upgrade the OS, as I cannot get this combination to run on Windows 2000 Pro. From what I understand, XP Pro must be used for the upgrade, as XP Home Edition will not work if I want to retain my existing programs.
The M-Audio card is valuable to me for its quality and features. There is a recent driver for this card, but it is a XP driver. So all of my MTU products are still down. I'll post a response when I change the OS, but until then if anyone has comments they are appreciated. |
