No sound from Microstudio 4.002

I recently upgraded from Microstudio 4.001 to 4.002. I did not use it for a couple of weeks, but when I did there was no sound when playing cdg files or cdg tracks from the cdrom. The graphics play fine, but no sound. I have sound when playing Keyrite, KHPro and Vogone. I also have sound from all other programs that normally produce sound.

During the couple of weeks that I did not use it, I installed Songverter (probably not related) and VHS to DVD 3.0 which has video and audio drivers in the installation. I have uninstalled that program, but the problem still persists. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Microstudio 4.002.

Any suggestions?

After opening Microstudio, check your volume control to see if it is being set back to zero or muted. Also, check your music and main volumes in the lower right corner to make sure they are up as well. If the other programs play then Microstudio should too.

It was the volume control in the lower right panel of Microstudio. I have never used this control and simply didn't think of that. Thank you so much for your help. I love MTU's products and have been a loyal customer since 2001.
