Can't launch KHP since the upgrade

Downloaded version 4.107 for my computer that runs W2000-- installed it and now it merely places a minimized button on the bottom of the screen when clicking on the desktop icon--- but won't ever launch. Re-boot did nothing. Then tried launching it from within Microstudio, but had the same result.

The other s/w versions are:
Microstudio 3.004
Vogone 3.106
Keyrite 2.0.1.2

Ideas?

Right click on it and "Maximize" If that doesn't work I would download again and re-install. I would remove and install instead of update to make sure everything gets loaded new.
Also, you may need to make sure you have all the Microsoft upgrades by doing a Custom upgrade rather than using the auto update or Express Upgrade.

Thanks for the advice. Did exactly as you suggested--- but no change. It's strange that the previous version worked just fine with the present W2000 load. I have come to not trust the Windows automatic update feature over the years, as it has caused many problems in the past.

Okay-- so I uninstalled once more, reinstalled and this time the program does open up from the minimized button on the bottom if I right click and highlight "maximize". But I cannot scale it down, and if I click on "add lyrics" and go looking for the folder I keep the .txt files in under My Documents--- it does not appear- and then program crashes. I choose "end task" under Task manager and thats all she wrote.

Did you reboot after installing?
I'm not an expert at the program, but don't you need to select the audio part first, then add the lyrics?
For the minimized problem, right click on the icon on your desktop, go to properties and see whether it is set to run in "normal window" or "minimized" It should be normal window.
It is resizable. Look in the upper right corner next to the close "X". It should have a single Box. If it shows two boxes then it is Maximized and you will need to click on it to shrink the window.

Yeah-- I did reboot after the re-install. I went to Windows Update and installed the critical downloads. Possibly this newer version of KhPro is not fully compatible with Microstudio version 3.004 --- that I am using.

All I know is that it is extremely unstable when it does open up. It "hangs" whenever I try to do anything to import lyrics, and I have to shut it down with Task Manager.

Oh-- I also did try importing the sound file first--- before the lyrics. That part went okay, but it still crashed when I tried to bring the lyrics in.

How did you get 4.107?

I just looked again and the download link still says it is delivering 4.106.

When I tried installing it told me I already had 4.106 installed.

When I click check for updates in the program, nothing happens. Prhaps they are working on it...dunno.

Dale, you're right you have to load an audio track before importing the lyrics.
There's a pop up prompt that advises so.

The link is now delivering 4.107.

Installed using UPGRADE and opened program with no problems.
