Dale you are saying that you can't do custom assembly with more than 99 tracks and that the track number can't be a duplicate one. Well I just did it with 1507 files with out any messages coming up. As far as MTU not being a large Corporation with a large support section. I can understand that but the company I mentioned before is probably smaller than MTU.

But I than post to you the ultimate question: I have 60,000 zip files. They are all in the format of Disc ID - Track Number - Artist - Title. 15 different manufactures. I want to retain the Artist, Title, and manufactures name and disc ID i.e SC8800-13, MH1011-12, CBEP464-1-07 What do I put in SELECT BRAND? What do I put in DISC ID? What do I put in BOOT ID ROOT?

If that corporation is less than 3 people then yes it is smaller.

What I was trying to say and may not have made clear is there can only be 99 per BookID. Did those 1507 files have Brand name in the title as well?

This is not a custom assembly then. I would still not try to do 60,000 at once. It could be that your DiscID for some may not match exactly what MTU has in their database. If the DiscID is not recognized then it won't know the brand name either. Which would be why it is asking.
Don't assume that all won't work. It may only be a few that aren't in the database. That is why I say try working in smaller groups of say 1 - 2 hundred to start.

None of these files had Brand Name in the title. I used a great program called KJ Manager to clean up any disc id irregularities. It checks for extra spaces, makes sure that all files are in the same format etc. Dale if I have to work in smaller groups I would be dissapointed. I have read similar posts on this forum where people have had the same problem. Just like those people I was under the impression that you can batch import any number of files into Hoster. It says right in the manual that you can. As I said before I appreciate your efforts but it is frustrating that I can't contact support. When I first bought this program I spoke to someone at MTU named Doug. I had many technical questions that he answered. This was because at this time I was helping make purchase decisions not just for myself but for 2 of my brother - in -laws and two friends including 2 licenses for myself. At that time had I known that there was no phone suport or this much difficulty we would have not made the purchase. All of the people I mentioned are having the same problems importing in Hoster. They have not the time nor the patience to sit for days or weeks to get a problem solved. Some of them have abandoned the program and moved on. They tried to solve the problems by reading the manual but have been unsuccessful. 2 of these guys are computer guys for a living and understand what they are reading. The final conclusion here in my humble opinion is that hoster has flaws in it's importing process. One of the other posts I was talking about was with a user named kevinkennedy back in December. His problem sounds pretty much like mine. The threads on that post ended after a week with semingly no resolution. You were involved in that. Was there a resolution?

All I was saying is to try a couple of smaller batches to try and work out exactly the problem. Trying to make 60,000 files push through at once is not going to point to the trouble. If some work and others don't then we can isolate it down to a reason.
Just because you run the KJ Manager says the file correct does not mean that information is in the Hoster or On-line database. If they don't match then Hoster is going to query you for the Brand name because it can't find it in its information. When it is coming back a second time asking it has moved on to the next file and is asking for its brand name. This is not going to happen with all of your files, but obviously it will happen with a percentage of them since you have so many. The newer files will be the most likely to ask, since the internal database for Hoster has not been updated in a long while and the FreeDB used for the on-line database isn't really geared toward karaoke and is dependent on users turning in updates which are many times flawed.
Kevinkennedy's problem was he wanted to ignore the discID and brand name to do a custom assembly install. He ran into the 99 limit problem. Not the same as yours though Hoster was asking for the Brand Name it was for a different reason.

Dale I tried a smaller amount of files originally and was getting the message asking for the brand. When you say it is coming back a second time asking for the brand, well this is not the case. As soon as I hit add files the custom assembly disappeared and the message came up asking for the brand selection. Also none of these files are that new. They are older files . none of these are that recent.

If you want them listed by brand name and discid you can't use custom assembly. Custom Assembly is for those you want to have in the same bookid but don't want to keep original brand/discid or those filews you have created/modified yourself which wouldn't have a brand.

By using the DiscIDs for existing discs then Hoster is telling you this is not a custom assembly and asking for the correct brand.

I don't know if I agree that hoster is telling me that it is not a custom assembly and asking for the correct brand. Remember I told you in an earlier post I got around the issue. The way I got around it was to keep trying it over and over. Not changing any of the information, just kept starting over and over again using custom assembly and on the, I don't know 50th time it magically accepted it and imported them. Imported 1230 zip files. Now these were Chartbuster 6 + 6 Country and Sound Choice Spotlight Series. After building the song database I checked in the search field and all of these newly imported files Kept the original Brand name and DiscID. Again I used Custom Assembly.
