New 3.001 won't work - FIX: Disable HWEC in Default Drive dialog

Could someone please help me?

I have a Pioneer DVR-108 and a Plextor PX-230A which both works fine with CDG using other software...

I just downloaded the demo version of the latest Micro, it sees both of my drives, I place a cdg, it looks up to free DB and sees the titles but when I try to import and click the Read Disc command it doesn't show me anything, strange???

I know these drives are cdg compatible, perhaps Micro will not support them?

Thanks!

Did you select the songs either by the "Select All" or by clicking on the box for each of the ones you want?

When the window "Import CD Tracks" shows up, I click on Read Disc, I can hear that it's trying to read the disk but all I get is an empty page with no option but the Close option! Same result with the "Audio CD" option!

When I turn on Micro and select "Karaoke CD" it sees the tracks and titles, if I select a song and added to play list (+) and then click the play button here's what I get:
The 'C:\DOCUMENT~1\Michel\LOCALS~\Temp\QPTSZ86\Track01.wav'track file is missing.
The file may have been renamed, or on a USB hard drive that is currently not plugged in.

My two drives are ATA not USB!

Thanks for your help!

Micky, first thing I would do is to make sure you have all the Windows Updates and that your Firmware for your CD drives are updated to. That seems to be the most common problem.

All done Dale, in fact, Microstudio is the only karaoke software that is not working, the previous version didn't worked with these 2 drives even though they work fine with CDG, I was just hopping I could finally get it to work again... I downloaded a software from a competitor and both drive works fine on importing or burning, no broken graphic, I guess I'll have to go with them

Thanks for your help Dale

Be sure Pioneer is set with HWEC off and try the Plextor both ways. It may be that these drives are too old and won't work with the newer code?

It won't work with Pioneer, I set it to "off" but Micro crashes and turns off, strange, I guess the code wasn't written for this model it works fine with my other software
