karaoke home suite 4

i have just received the newest karaoke suite 4 on cd rom.
when i tried to install it i got a message that i need to use my a drive(floppy disk) to get registration info. and then take that disc to a computer with an internet connection, run it on there and then bring the floppy back to my computer to do the registration.
can this be right? do they even make the floppy discs anymore? my computer is connected to the internet, cant i do it all on my computer?
do i need a second computer?
when i first got karaoke suite 4 a few years ago all i had to do was install it on my computer.
can anyone help?
thanks
rick

thanks, i went to the link and did what it said to do (turn off firewall) and it still wants me to put it on a floppy and take it to another computer.

i have the cdrom that they sent me, shouldn't i be able to just use that to install it?

Is your internet connection full time (cable modem or DSL) or dial-up?
What firewall program do you use?
If it isn't the Windows Firewall did you make sure that one is turned off too.

The floppy it is asking for is for registration purposes not installation.

First, I am sorry you are experiencing a problem.

If your computer is connected to the Internet, with your software or hardware firewall allowing our software to contact our registration script live over the Internet, then you won't see the message to use a floppy disc or memory stick.

Rick, you can also use a USB memory stick (also known as a flash drive) instead of a floppy disc.

We must secure our products due to the immediate Internet theft that WOULD happen as soon as we release any program today. We are sorry for this, but it is a way of life today. Every program you buy today, that has a company standing behind it to meet your needs, is protected. To not protect a software program is the same as giving it away to 90% of the world overnight.

If you are still having problems, please go to the Support Center, register, and submit a free Support Ticket. Bryan is the one who is able to help you with any specific problems not addressed by our KnowlegeBase answers. Please include the program name and version number you are trying to install so Bryan can address it and answer you.
