The obvious solution would be to find out why you have to re-install Windows XP "every few weeks". That is abnormal.

And when you do download you shouldn't use up multiple installations unless you or your server have a download accellerator installed that's eating up your downloads.

You shouldn't even have to download again other than to upgrade if you'd back up everything, program files and installation codes, on a cd.

I don't have problems reinstlling any one of my programs except my mtu product!!!

If I have to reinstall windows every day thats my problem. It's a pain in the butt and sounds pretty stupid but is neccecery to me because of internet virus problems that not even the best virus/worm...ect programs can seem to keep out.

I have my mtu program and instllation codes on cd. I have never been able to install my mtu program without:

1. An internet connection
2. Mtu verifying my information which will always show that I have paid for my mtu product and am who I say I am.

The problem is that mtu doesn't want a paying customer to get more than what they payed for and is willing to put this paying costomer at great inconvience to insure this.

I love my mtu product but sure could live without the inconvience. Is there sombody at mtu I can talk to about this problem who has the power to consider changing this incnvienient plicy.

You called MTUSUPPORT and left a voice mail with all the data we needed to help you, albeit we would prefer you did this in the Forum to insure it was available to us.

It appeared you had an older version of Hoster that was creating new Registration Records each time you tried to install. MTUSUPPORT deleted these records, and emailed you to reinstall.

You should upgrade to the latest program version to get our most up-to-date security protection, which has been loosened up and made more intelligent.

ADMIN: This is incredible. I have had the same email since 1996 and receive over 400 emails a day. We do have a spam arrestor (http://postini.com/) that pulls out all dangerous virus/worms/trojans sent to us from anywhere. I also use ZoneAlarm Pro (http://zonelabs.com/) that does an incredible job. I also use Norton Anti-Virus in addition running on my computer. I have NEVER had to reinstall my windows. Neither should you. Get the tools I recommend.

ADMIN: If you install using a Floppy Disc or Memory Stick (read this FAQ), you can keep this and use it to install without going on-line each time.

ADMIN: I'm sorry you perceive life this way. We preceive it as you need to secure your computer against normal virus, etc. attacks that happen today. Also, if you had ever been involved with software development or marketing you would know that if we didn't secure our software, there would be no MTU or MTU.Community Forums for you to contact. Believe me, we HATE having to waste OUR TIME too on securing our products and answering posts from unhappy honest users. We are constantly changing and improving our security, so keep updated... especially if you continue to need to reinstall even every week.

I truly am happy to hear you love your MTU product.

I am President of MTU, so you just communicated with the right person. The buck stops here. We are doing some major upgrades right now to try and make our security "transparent" to honest users. However, you need to get some real anti-virus tools. What you have is NOT professional... no matter what they charged you for it. Use the tools I recommend and you will be secure.

I wasn't being critical of you when I said that having to reinstall that frequently was abnormal. It happened to me about three years ago. I had 5 crashes in 5 months. The culprit turned out to be a crappy AMD processor.

I was thinking in terms of a system related problem which could be cured. Once I found my problem, have not had to reinstall for any reason other than hard drive failure since.
