Text is suddenly slow

I have been loading CDs for some time now, just past the 500 mark. Every now and then I stop and play a few songs especially when I am reminded that I have a song I havn't tried or knew I had. Last night I started it up and before the first verse was finished being writen to the screen the music was starting the second verse. Suddenly every song in my database has been slowed up on the text on the screen.

This happend late last night so I pointed hoster to the back up copy on my USB CD Rom and had the same results.

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it but I changed my screen resolution trying to get a PC to TV Converter working and I'm not sure what resolution I started with. During the problem I was up at 1024 by 768. I would have swore that's what I was at before. I was thinking of setting it to 800 by 600 and trying it tonight... Could that be the problem? What else could it be? I know I checked some songs out back around 450 CDs and had no problem.

Any ideas?

I found the problem. During the time I was changing video settings I change the colors from 16 bit to 24 bit. I guess it was taking to long to put in all the new colors.

Anyway, I changed the settings back to 16 bit and all is better.

You should beable to run at 16 or 32 bit no problem. 24 bit is a different type of Math, which is why you sometimes can have a problem.
