Plextor PX-716A DVDR/CDRW not detected by MTU Products

Is the new Plextor PX-716A not supported by MTU or anything else yet because it's so new? I have the drive installed but Hoster and Microstudio and CDRWin for that matter does not recognize it as a karaoke CD+G drive.

This drive is not supported, as you found out. It will be about 4 months or so before we get the new drivers for this drive. This is all we can do, wait till we get the drivers from the 3rd party for this drive.

Sure wish I had known that before I went out and bought the latest and greatest Plextor drive. No way to speed up that process since the 716 is very similar to the 712 with the added capability of doing dual layer DVDs?

There is no way to speed this up. We license this part of the code from a 3rd party, and it only comes every 4 months. We just got it about 2.5 weeks ago, so it will not be until about February or March 05 that we have the new drivers for this drive.
