Question tdk velocd compatibility

I recently bought a TDK velocd 24/10/40 and it isn't able to record cd+g format w/ microstudio - is this a hardware issue or is my software out of date? My other velocd 12/8/32 works great.

What gives?

if one works and the other does not I'd put it down to Hardware failure instead of software.

Might want to make certain the latest drivers were installed. The driver software that comes packaged with drives is not always the latest. Just a possibility.

Take care,

George

The problem with the VeloCD 24x is that it is not made by the same company that made the VeloCD 12x, the 12x drive is actually a Plextor brand of drive inside that was sold to TDK, the newer 16x and up TDK drives are some off brand that will not copy CD+G. Thus, there is no way to fix your 24x drive to copy CD+G it is a hardware problem
