Inverted LR. HELP!
Something crazy is happening in my Krystal card.
When i'm in rec mode the digital signal in the AES output is inverted. The left channel is on the rigth side and the rigth channel outputs in the left side, when i'm in play mode everthing is ok! I'm recording direct to DAW from a Apogee AD1000 to the AES Krystal inputs and monitoring from a Tascam DA-30 MKII DAT connected to the AES Krystal output. I have a large CD project with this big problem, there is a way to invert the LR channels in the soundfiles? Hessel |

Yes, in the Segment Attributes
The Segment Attributes dialog box allows you to swap the channels on the selected segment. Simply change the "A" channel to "B" and the "B" channel to "A". In the project, this segment will be channel swapped in all mixing and playing.
If you want to swap the channels on a Sound File on the hard drive, create a project, create a segment from the Sound File, swap the channel assignments and then click the File menu Save As SF (or WAV) command. This will write a new file to the hard drive with the channels swapped. |

This problem is ONLY in the record monitor. IT DOES NOT AFFECT the sound files recorded on disc. You DO NOT need to take corrective action except by reversing the channels on your monitor. (Don't forget to put them back when you're finished recording!)
This is a known bug with the Krystal card. Do not expect a fix anytime soon. Chas. |
