Unhappy Inexperienced and asking for help

Hi all,
I just bought Vogone, and have no idea what I am doing. All I want to do is remove the vocals from ONE song. I am getting married on Sept. 11th, and would like to play only the instrumentals and the chorus during the processional. After experimenting for about 2 hours, I am frustrated and begging for help from the experts out there.

Below is the song I've been working on. Please, I know nothing about editing music, frequencies, etc., and therefore the manual is greek to me. If anyone has any insight, feel free to email me at kimm524@hotmail.com.

Thank you,
Kim

Re: Inexperienced and asking for help

Kim,
Did you take this file off of a CD, and import it into a .mp3 file. If so then What I must have is the .wav file uploaded to the website, so that I can download that. This is the only way that it would work correctly, without distorting the audio.

If you upload this file, then I can try to do it for you. It must be a .wav file, that was imported off of the CD, it can't be a .mp3 file that is changed back to a .wav file.

I did take this off of a CD, so I have uploaded the .wav file for you. Thank you so much for taking the time to assist me.

Re: Inexperienced and asking for help

Kim,
Here is what it is telling me:

Please be patient and check back soon. Chances are, Kim broke something and she's trying to figure out what. Give her a few minutes, she'll get it.

As soon as I get this, I will do what I can to it for you.

Re: Inexperienced and asking for help

LOL. That's my "Page cannot be found" page. My server is taking a very long time to upload this file. I'll post here when the link is active; that way you won't have to keep checking the link. Thank you.

Kim

Re: Inexperienced and asking for help

Kim,
I downloaded the file, but it is not processing well at all in Vogone. It seems to be removing more of the Instruments in this song, instead of the vocals.

It seems that this is a file that may not work, due to the channels being heavily mixed, and the instruments in the center channel.

I will be out of town 9-02-04 - 9-05-04.
