Help!! How do I change format?

So...I'm a singing teacher and I'm just learning about using the computer for my music. Thought Keyrite was an awesome concept. But now I know that i need to save my files as cdg or wav.....the only sound software I have is the windows media that came with the computer and it doesn't recognize those formats. Any advice other programs that will save my cds in the correct format....and is it worth all the trouble?

Correct Format

Playing Music Files:

Keyrite plays both cdg and wav (no lyrics shown)
Microstudio plays cdg and shows lyrics (doesn't play wave files)
Windows Media Player plays Wave but not cdg files

Playing Music Discs:

Keyrite plays no discs
Microstudio plays cdg and-with compliant burner- shows lyrics and plays normal music cds with no lyrics
Windows Media Player plays karaoke and normal cds but does not show lyrics. (CDG Karaoke discs can be treated as normal music cd's in ANY CD PLAYER)

MICROSOFT WILL BURN

Using compliant burner:

A disc using all cdg files (Playable in any karaoke player-lyrics will show- or normal cd player-lyrics will not show)

A disc using all wave files (Playable in any karaoke player-no lyrics-and playable in any cd player-no lyrics)

Using non-compliant burner:

A disc using all wave files (Playable in any karaoke player-no lyrics-and playable in any cd player-no lyrics)

MICROSOFT WILL EXTRACT

Using compliant burner:

Karaoke disks-Wave files and CDG files-graphics on cdg
Regular cd disks-Wave files and CDG files-no graphics on cdg

Using non-compliant burner:

Karaoke disks-Wave files
Regular cd disks-Wave files

Hope you find the information useful
