Disbling Autorun in win XP

Hi,
Do we still need to disable CD autorun in win XP with ver 2.5xxx?

I disabled autorun for all the different type of files on the media but XP still checks the disk!

How do we disble autorun completely?

I don't think it's as critical in XP as it was in 98SE, but to do it:

Click MY COMPUTER.

Right click on the drive symbol.

Click PROPERTIES.

Click the AUTO PLAY tab.

Open the drop down menu and select the application.

Select Action TO PERFORM, or select PROMPT EACH TIME.

Click APPLY.

Repeat selection for each action the the drop down menu.

Repeat for each cdr/rw.
