Songverter re-indexing

Every time I open songverter it goes through all the songs in database. This is time consuming. It didn\'t use to do that. Only if something changed and I wanted it to.

Can someone explain why this is, or can I change it somehow.

Thanks,
Wallymeister

Re: Songverter re-indexing

Been so long since I used this program can’t remember if it used to remember a previous listing.

When I open mine it does not list anything. The Brows folder window remembers the path but the format window is always blank so no songs are listed.

Until I select a format that exists in the folder path nothing shows.
Is yours the same or does yours remember the selected format ?

Once I select a file type it then builds a list of files but on closing that info is lost. I can’t remember if that list was auto saved originally. Does anyone else Know or remember ?

Cool Re: Songverter re-indexing

Songverter does remember path of last path when it was open, but never did remember format. But it used to not have to go through all songs everytime you run it. If I remember correctly there used to be a button to click to reindex if you know you\\\'ve added songs since the last time you ran it. When the database grows it now becomes a pain in the bottom side to wait for all songs to reindex when you know nothing has changed, or at least the song you wanting to work with is not a new one.

I think you may be confusing that button with Microstudio, i don\'t think Songverter had that button.

You can lesson the time it takes to build the list if you only select a folder path for the songs your trying to convert and untick the sub folders box.
Not much help if all your songs are in one folder i know.

Another option is copy the songs you want to edit to a new folder first.
Just a suggestion
