Question Micro Studio Skips

I am currently using MTU's laptop and Hoster program to do my gigs. Due to the fact that MTU has not come out with the upgrade yet to allow HOster to play discs that patrons might bring with them, I have tried to incoroparate the use of Micro Studio to at least be able to play a disc even though I can't change the key. The problem is the music skips terribly when being played on the laptop's drive. It is a Plextor CD-R PXS88T 1.04. However I also have an External drive (also from MTU) a Plextor CD-R PX-W4012A 1.03 which plays discs without a hitch. What's the problem here?

Thanks,

Kelly
