Sony CRX 100E 1.0m & CDG

Microstudio demo version reads tracks O.K. (including graphics) but when I try to write them to CDR media I get the following message.

ERROR:
'WRITE' command failed on device 1:1:0
Illegal Command Request
(04h 00h 02h 05h 24h 00h)

Microstudio confirms that the drive is CD+G / Karaoke compliant.

I'm running Windows XP pro and my system is of excellent specification so no hardware limitations.

The tracks on the hard drive work perfectly well using the Microstudio player (1 minute 15 Seconds Only).

I have tried several types of CD-R media and now have plenty of coasters - enough for all my friends and relatives!

The CD R/W drive that I am using is Sony CRX100E 1.0m, is it a compatibility problem or software limitation?

I have seen a CD-R/W drive that clearly states in the specification that it is CD+G compatable - Plexwriter 48r 48w 24rw. Will this drive work with Microstudio?

Obviously I would prefer not to buy a new drive if the Sony product will work so any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
