That wasn't stated in the OP.
A VGA with one output will only display what is coming off of that output, no dual or extended capability.
Best thing to do on a PC is just buy a cheap internal card, they are not hard to install at all and most are self installing. I got a 1GB memory ATI Radeon card from Tigerdirect for $50.

i beg the differ Lonman, my (3) old Dell Optiplex sx280 desktops is capable of dual display with the help of a converter TRITTON SEE2 TRIUV200 only supports 1024x..resolution..my`Samsung monitors has ( main )1366 x 768, 32 bits 60hz .resolution,and the ext. has 1360x768 32 bit ,tried lowering the resolution on them but the screen looks funky.. a friend who has the same desktop and using it to do shows also is able to have dual display also with the help of a converter he bought from monoprice..like i said the only problem i have was that when playing music videos on ext. monitor it goes out of sync, but it plays fine on main w/o any problem.. i could replace the graphic cards if i could, the problem was it's integrated, heck, i already replaced the motherboards, upgraded the cpu's from Celeron D 2.8 to Intel p4 3.0 ( tried 3.6 didnt work ).upgraded RAM to Corsair 4gb and upgraded the hhd's to Samsung 500g 7200 rpm..on all of them, the money i spent rebuilding these desktops is probably enough to get me a new powerful laptop/pc..( it's my way of making myself busy ).i am now waiting on another converter from Provantage that supposedly support a higher resolution monitors..hope it works..i could show you a screen shot, i just don't know how to do it

Interesting, never heard of a single VGA output being able to produce two separate signals with any converter. Do you have a link to the converter by chance?

you can go to (removed link as it takes you to a jewelry website) , type in SEE2 triuv150, in search, or go to Provantage.com and type in AUV200F, or www.Aluratek.com you can find all kinds of converters for a single vga/dvi or hdmi i could show you a screen shot of my dual display..just don't know how

Like said, a single VGA output will only display 1 signal. This is not a converter to change that single output, this is a separate USB external graphics card. Which can act as a it's own card or an addition to the built in.
But with a PC, i'd just opt for a new video card that already has a dual display capability, just as cheap, easier & no external devices hogging up USB power/ports.

i'm with you on that, like i said if i could install a graphic card i would..these pc's don't have slots for it...these pc's has 7 usb port and i don't have anything plugged in except the mouse and an ext.500g hhd.( on this one i'm using ) so nothing is really using a lot of power, and i'm gonna be using this particular pc just for music videos and music editing.

I removed one of your links because it was incorrect and took you to a jewelry collection instead. The item you are showing it taking video out through a USB port and running it through a converter (which is actually a video card in a box, thus an external USB video card) and outputting it to a VGA.
As long as you have a slot for the video card and I believe those do, then you can install a separate internal card and turn off the integrated card. I have done that for all Dell desktops I own.

Doug, i wish they had a slot for a graphic cards, but these optiplex sx280 don't have one....i'm sorry if i put in the wrong link..it's Trittonusa.com..i had 4 of these..i did rebuilt 3 of them..and i have another one to do..if you can..i need your advice on this one..it's a small form factor case..and i would be or i am trying to get a motherboard that will fit on this..if you can look at the epecs on this and maybe suggest a good motherboard that won't break the bank.
