Microstudio - How Do You Find Song Names?

I just purchased Microstudio and cannot figure out how to find KMA Song names. All I can get is ###.kma. No song name or artist is shown.

Unless you click on one of these files and add it to the list, you cannot see a song name!

I am trying to make a custom disc for my own use to carry to other shows to sing.

How do I find songs in my database by either song or artist?

Click on Tools/ Define Field Order and set how you want them displayed.
Click the browse button in the upper left corner and set the folder to the location of your KMA files. This will build a list of the files in that folder and display the information in the left side.

Re: Microstudio - How Do You Find Song Names?

If you want to make a custom Disc from the .kma files you use in Hoster, from the main window click the Brows button and select the folder that you keep your .kma files in. Then highlight the Karaoke files button and press refresh, it will take a little while but will list all your song names in the window below. You don't put individual files in this window.
You can then search for your individual files, highlight them one at a time then press the + sign in the right side window to transfer a particular songs to the play window.
Any Songs you wish to burn to disc you highlight again in this window and press the write to disc button at the bottom of the window, to see the actual write disc dialog press the Write Disc tab at the top of the main window.

You should be able to find all this in the manual.

Re: Microstudio - How Do You Find Song Names?

Roy & Dale,

Thanks Guys! Got it working and am loving this program.

I did have one problem, but I got it straight by re-downloading the songs in a different format. Microstudio would not recognize my WMV files, so I downloaded them again in mp3+g format...

Do you know why it won't recognize the WMV format?

Re: Microstudio - How Do You Find Song Names?

Because it is not designed to work with video files.

Dale,

Well, that makes sense. Wish it would though!

The WMV graphics are heads and shoulders above the mp3+g graphics because they are in HD...

Thanks!

That may be so, but not a lot of "definition" is required to read lines of text over a given background color.
