I don't use it, and have never had a problem. I believe to add no more processing than nessicary of the signal.

Read the manual...

The Compressor/Limiter and Normalize can adjust your imported songs to the same relative amplitude. The best thing is to read the manual.

I concur with gduns. If you don't mind adjust the song amplitude for each song (even on the same CDG disc, songs will have variant amplitudes) while hosting your show, disable the Comp/Lim and Normalize. However, if you want to not do the adjusting as the song starts to play, consider Normalizing.

BTW: Normalize requires a Comp/Lim pass first to find the highest amplitude to normalize to.

Read the manual on the Change Settings button before going futher. Then, experiment with some songs and different settings. Once you get settings you like, they are "persistent", remaining se that way until you change them.

Unhappy Get ready to spend lots of time in front of your computer!

In my opinion, it's not worth it to use the Compressor/Limiter functions. It'll take you forever to import a few hundred songs.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Regards,

Jon
