Problems with XP

Need Help with Micro Studio on XP. Recently purchased Karaoke Suite #4, and Plextor 48x CDG. Installed software on ME and tested Micro Studio and it worked. Before I could try the other programs, ie, Karaoke Pro, etc., it was necessary to change operating system to XP Pro. Now Micro Studio does not reocognize any cd writer on my system with a yes or no.

I have reinstalled the aspi drivers as suggested in other forums and the aspi chk shows, 4.71.2, and wnasint.dll as suggested. My computer is a Dell 300, Pentium II, and 256k RAM.

I have read other posts on this forum, but none seem to fit my problem.

Karaoke Pro will not come up, but gives an error msg #1 "system error contact MTC"

Oh yes, the cd burner is not usb, and I have never had Nero on this system.

Is there anything I can do besides going back to ME?

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling Microstudio? Also, were you using Plextor Manager (I think that's what it is called) prior to upgrading, if so and you did the "upgrade" to XP, there have been known conflicts it not being XP compat. and the drives would have trouble in all programs.... Not sure how to fix it, but I would assume one could just uninstall that program and get things working. The worst case scenerio would be to do a clean install of XP, and reload your software... which should give you a clean solid base to start with.

Did you use the upgrade version of XP or did you use the full version? If you used the upgrade, did you do a clean install or an "upgrade" keeping all your programs "intact"?

Yes, gduns is correct on the System Error #1 message, it is possible that XP added a network bridge or something...Make sure your network card is working properly (you can check this from Device Manager).

FLIP,
You should be able to edit now. Click edit and uncheck signature. Went back and did several of mine.

Take care,

George
