Unable to rebuild database

I have rebuilt my database many times in the past as short of time as yesterday. I deleted quite a bit of songs and now need to rebuild it but am unable to. I uninstalled the program several times with no luck. I also can't search for songs either. I also have a problem with the dual display. my small monitor shows only half if I fit the show by stretching and resize it manually. Sometimes I can't even do that. I have to close Hoster and start all over. Any ideas? Thanks Alan
