New Laptop on the way- Moving Hoster
I have a new laptop shipping out and wasnt to see if this is what needs to be done:
1. Make a backup copy of the entire "MTU" directory on my current C drive 2. Uninstall Hoster on the old laptop (while connected to the internet) 3. Copy the MTU directory to the new laptop 4. Install Hoster on the new laptop (after performing required changes to Windows) That's where it gets murky. Will I need to index or rebuild the database at this point? |

Why I mention that last point is version 5.09 upwards moves the Hoster folder to a new directory so if you installed the upgrade it will move the contents of the Hoster folder. If your music files are in the Hoster folder then it might need rebuilding otherwise it should be OK. Just curios, Is your new computer another Mac ?

Re: New Laptop on the way- Moving Hoster
Yep- Macbook Pro Retina with 16 gigs RAM and the 768 gig Flash drive. Plans are to move everything over- including the Windows7 Bootcamp partition with Hoster. Hoster has been pretty much bullet-proof on the Mac for 3 years now- hoping it continues to be...
