Dale/Jim/Admin

In a recent thread, I reported problems with the 4.05 preview screen. Thanks to Dale, I have got it to work at an acceptable level even though I think it needs work. If I reset displays (2 displays) and then double click on the show screen to move it, the preview screen will do nothing. Sometimes it will undock but not resize. You must manually drag the show screen (reduced) to the show monitor and then the preview screen will manipulate most of the time.

As Dale pointed out, that is why you save downloads instead of simply running them......I got the message a little too late. I have two questions:

1. I bought in at the 4.03 version. In Windows Explorer, I have a hoster403setup file. It is an application file that is 19931kb in size. Can I simply run this file to restore 4.03? Anything to lookout for? Special instructions/recommendations?

2. Are any preview/show upgrades planned for future upgrades?

Thanks, Steve

Im not Dale, Jim, Or Admin but the answer to qusstion 1 is, yes you can run this to install 4.03 but you need to uninstall hoster first or you could simply do System Restore to before you upgraded to 4.05.

4.03 seems to be working the best for most, although some are having problems with key changes. Admin said 4.06 should be ready in about a week that is fixing some minor issues reported with 4.04 & 4.05. So, you may want to stay with 4.03 until then.

Hey Steve,
I private messaged you a link to get a copy of 4.03 from the MTU website for your records but you already have it.

JNS05 is correct, it sounds like you have the install file for 4.03. As far as upgrading to 4.05 from 4.03 (or visa versa) there is no need to do a system restore unless you are having system (computer) problems. The only reason to unistall 4.03 first when you upgrade to any version of Hoster 4 is if you are seeing a error (1706 error I think).

What I suggest is run the hoster403setup.exe and get 4.03 back on your computer then wait for 4.06 to be released.

I hope this helps.

Jim

Jim,

Are you saying that I don't need to uninstall 4.05 before I re-install 4.03? Also, will that affect any KMA files or singer files? Thanks for the URL, you are indeed a VIP!!

Guess I may as well get in on this too. Your KMA files and singers database will be fine and not change. No you do not have to uninstall 4.05, just upgrade to 4.03 from the setup file and I would also save that file to somewhere other than your C:\ drive.

Doug, I thought 4.05 had to be uninstalled first. Thanks for clearing that up for me as well as others. That is why you and Jim are our go to guys.
