Jim this could be a power issue not a Ram issue. Every card you add pulls more power from the power supply. Somewhere on the top/side of the power supply should tell you how many watts it produces. It would be something like 250, 300, 350,etc. You may need to go to a bigger power supply. (I know...... more $$)

The output of power supply in my Show Machine is 300w. I found a chart at Newegg that rated each component in the computer. Using the highest ratings it looks like I should have a power supply with an output of at least 500w.

130w - Processor
60w - Motherboard
30w - 2gb of RAM (not yet but it will be tomorrow )
150w - Video Card
30w - Three PCI cards (Tow sound cards and one Raid card)
60w - Two Hard Drives
30w - CD/DVD Burnner

490w - TOTAL

Time to hunt for the deal!

My motherboard uses the old 20 pin connecter, is an adapter available?

Found the answer, I can remove four pins from the plug.

I installed the 600w power supply, all went well. It did not change the way Hoster 4.06 runs but it was obviously the right thing to do. The very small issue I see running Hoster 4.06 on my show machine has been addressed in 4.10 so all is good!
