UAC ver 3.321

Okay, I downloaded the latest 3.321 on my laptop and home pc. Now every time I want to run the prg, I have to allow it to run with a permission from my norton securities. How do I shut that bs off, help please.

you have to do it in nortons.

FYI: i never am online with my show computer except to upgrade.

plus the odds of you getting a virus just from your computer being online is really slim chance. imn sure there are a few here who will argue that but i have a computer that has no protection thats been online for years with no viruses.

When Norton pops up to ask you whjat you want to do, isn't there a box to check to have whatever action you select become the default for that program?

There is with my Norton, but I can't remember the exact wording.

Simply says allow or not. Allow and it lets hoster exe. Just would like to turn off the warning. Did not have that warning before I installed 3.321, now it's on both home pc and laptop. It's got the norton shield but says User Account Control.

3.321 sets Hoster to run as Administrator. This was to make Vista stop moving or deleting files. In your options for your Norton there should be an exception list that you can edit to add Hoster.exe to allow it to operate without the warning message.
