I've been having quite a struggle with my hoster skipping as well. I upgraded, made sure I had 25% on my external and I have almost 75% available on my laptop! It is kind of embarrassing. I don't know how to fix this problem.

I don't know if this can help but check these settings on the hard drives,
Right click on a hard drive and select properties then click Hardware tab Select your hard drive again from this list then properties again then select the Policies tab, in the window that opens are some radio buttons. If yours is set for quick removal try the one for better performance but remember you will have to use the safe to remove icon on the taskbar if unplugging while still powered up. If this doesn't help you can always return the setting to how they were.
