Music is distorted when keychange is used in 4.11
I've restarted the computer and the program. Regular key plays fine. When I lower the key, there's a very apparent clicking noise and music seems to struggle a lot. Anyone else having these issues?

Was this "on the fly" or was this set when you added the song to the playlist?
Is this click when you change the key? Does the music struggle only at the begin right after changing the key or does it continue all the way through the song? Run a System Information (in Start Menu/Accessories/System Tools) and copy the Summary information in a post here. This will help us to understand what your system is.

With all the additional features added in 4.11 though this laptop meets the minimum requirements I suspect you will have more problems than just a clicking with the key change.
For one thing laptops use shared memory for the Video card, which means less than 1 GB of memory for the system to use. This can definately cause a problem. If you have already done all the recommended items from the manual, I would suggest try turning off un-needed background processes. This web site can help at darkviper.com. As far as the clicking, you might check with Toshiba to see if they have an updated driver for the audio card. You might also check to see if they have a memory upgrade for that laptop.

I am having same problem with brand new durabook laptop purchased from MTU.
I am having the same problem as when I lower the key (regardless of on the fly or in search mode) There is a clicking noise. I do not have anything running except hoster, and I have 2gigs of ram. Is there an upgrade for this? Has this issue been resolved or do I have a dud computer?
Thanks Loren |

No this issue has not been resolve and it appears to be effecting only a few. Just not sure why. Non e of the beta testers or the MTU staff experienced this at all.

I don't like the key changer on any sound card, on any computer i've ever tried. I use an external rack mount key controller. That being said, i tried my keychanger on 4.11. Sounds ok to me. Well...as good as it gets. No fault of mtu, just the nature of the beast. Sounds like a Fender Guitar amplifier tremelo on steroids......
