Did you try leaving it blank and try going on?
Is this an OEM type of disk (original Microsoft disk) or is it a Restore disk from the computer MFG?

well, i ended up buying a new hhd, bought a 500gb and ended up cloning my original hhd drive and while im at it i decided to upgrade m memory to 4gb,now here comes the hard part, i have to reload all my kma files to ms and all my itunes, since this pc ( master ) is where i store all my music files.., i could just import all my kma files that was on my ext. hhd to ms , but i have never done it before..so..

Billy,
You should be able to plug the drive in (not as C: drive) and copy the files off of it rather than having to reload them again. That is as long as they are not damaged.
