Did you try leaving it blank and try going on?
Is this an OEM type of disk (original Microsoft disk) or is it a Restore disk from the computer MFG?

well, i ended up buying a new hhd, bought a 500gb and ended up cloning my original hhd drive and while im at it i decided to upgrade m memory to 4gb,now here comes the hard part, i have to reload all my kma files to ms and all my itunes, since this pc ( master ) is where i store all my music files..

Billy,
You should be able to plug the drive in (not as C: drive) and copy the files off of it rather than having to reload them again. That is as long as they are not damaged.

no they are not damaged i have a master ext. hhd that has all my kma files..there are about 3,000 songs on the damaged hhd that i just replaced i only used them when i'm trying to rehearsed or trying out new tunes..
