You have got me so confused. Work on one computer first and get it straight then deal with the other one. This is not easy without being able to see exactly what you have.
Do you have all your song files (KMA) in one folder? And is that the only folder listed in the Rebuild "Song Source Folders" list?
Does your folder or folders where you have all your KMA files have the right number of files (however many songs you have)?

yes

all files are in one folder all are KMA and from what I can tell there are no duplicates.

Now if I do this to pc #2 hit rebuild right?

Are you saying that running Rebuild does not give you any duplicates errors or are you assuming there aren't any?
If you have not run the Rebuild after clearing out the duplicate files do so now.

Forget the second computer till we get this one straightened up.

I did

I ran the rebuild it did not say there were duplicates. It says duplicates deleted.

DUPLICATE BOOKIDS DETECTED DURING DB BUILD ON: Mon Feb 09 15:23:01 2009

C:\MTU\Hoster\BuildSongDBLog.txt

BOOKID SONG NAME ARTIST NAME
PATH

52401 Do You Know The Way To San Jose Warwick, Dione
C:\Karaoke\0076-1.kma

52410 Whatd I Say Charles, Ray
C:\Karaoke\0076-10.kma

This is the report it gave me. I deleted anything that said copy of and then rebuilt the database.

Delete the file BuildSongDBLog.txt in the C:\MTU\Hoster folder and run the Rebuild one more time. Then look for that file again to see if there are any more dups.

yep

now says 771 duplicates

would book ID
0121-2
and 121-2 be seen as the same? They are not the same song but does hoster think it is?

Yes because Hoster does not use leading zeroes in BookIDs.
