Good article Mark. As usual Microsoft continues to shoot themselves in the foot. When NT came out I couldn't wait to upgrade and get away from 98. When 2000 came out it was the same thing. Again with XP, but not until after the first SP. With Vista I still won't touch it. We'll see what Windows 7 looks like and how it acts when it comes out.

Years ago at the TV staion I worked for, I installed windows 2000 on one machine and had nothing but problems, I was to scared to use ME. Did you find 2000 to be stable Dale?

I agree, good article Mark, thanks for posting a link to it.

Used it for a number of years on USAF network on several thousand computers with no major problems. Then we went to NT which was even better.

I bought a copy of NT but never got to use it. The 16bit pro sound card I was using did not have a driver that would work so I had to abandone it. I did fine with Windows 95 eventually moving to Windows 98 then to XP. I'm glad to hear you didn't have the problems I experience with 2000.

My engineering partner LOVED Windows NT.
